Writ petition filed against Rabi Lamichhane

The authorities selected 131 individuals in the final list. They have already approved the curriculum for two courses under the Police Leadership and Staff Course, including the Master in Police Science (MPS) and the Professional Leadership Course. The Staff College has decided to implement this course for inspectors enrolled in 2070 BS and those promoted to DSP from the same group. They are officers of the 158th group.
The Police Bill registered in Parliament also includes the implementation of the Staff College. The bill states that those who fail to graduate from the Staff College will not be promoted to the post of DIG and will have to retire as SSP.
As part of the Staff College, the Police Training Academy and Tribhuvan University signed an agreement for a Master's in Police Science (MPS) course on September 6, 2024.
Earlier, the petitioners filed a case against the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Police Headquarters, the Secretariat of the Inspector General of Police, and the Police Academy.
