KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Hearings on the cases under the single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana took place at the Supreme Court on Wednesday. Other justices, however, refused to hear any case today. Hearings on the cases could not take place on Monday and Tuesday as well.
Chief Justice Rana has assigned cases to other justices including his single bench. However, no other justice conducted hearings on the cases assigned to them. The justices refused to hear the cases, demanding an answer to the question raised in the court over allegations that the chief justice had sought his share in cabinet expansion.

Chief Justice Rana said that he was able to fulfill the responsibility given to him as the Chief Justice by the constitution and law. He also urged the justices to fulfill their responsibilities as per the constitution and law.
