KATHMANDU,  May 11: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order to the government for a smooth management of oxygen and hospitals for COVID-19 treatment.

Earlier, advocates Mohna Ansari and Shailendra Prasad Ambedakar filed a writ petition against the government demanding smooth management of oxygen, other drugs, doctors and beds for COVID-19 patients.

Maintaining that the issues put forth by the petitioners are directly concerned with human life, the SC has said that no COVID-19 patient should be deprived of treatment, oxygen and other drugs.

The SC has ordered the government to mobilize and appoint enough human resources, make the supply of oxygen smooth and bring well-equipped hospitals into operation at the earliest.
