In the event played under the stableford ¾ handicap format, Sashwat finished with 40 points while Saroj Bastakoti stands second with 39 points. Sashwat, the 18th handicap player scored 17 in the front nine and 23 in the back nine. Saroj, the 16th handicap player, scored 20 and 19 points respectively in the front and back nine holes.Roshan Rai, the nine handicap player, is a distant third with 34 points in the two-day event. He scored equal 17 points in either halves. Mukti Sen Gurung and Binayak Basnet are joint fourth with 33 points each and Phintso O Lama (30 points) is sixth. MB Limbu and NW Lama (29 points each) are joint seventh, HB Thapa (26 points) is ninth and Ojasvi CB Singh and Kalu Ghale (24 points each) are joint 10th.
Altogether 23 players competed in the first day of the event. The event will conclude on Saturday.
