KATHMANDU, Nov 9: A three member Nepali Sambo team including two players and one official has left for Bulgaria on Wednesday to take part in the Third World Sambo Championship.
Gopal Pun Magar and Asmila Chhyantal will represent Nepal in the tournament that is scheduled for November 10 to 14. Gopal will vie in the male's under 68 kg event while Asmila will take part in the women's 64 kg category.
Nepal Sambo Federation's Vice-president Raj Kumar Shrestha has flown with the team.
National Sports Council (NSC)'s Member Narayan Prasad Poudel bade farewell to the team at Tribhuvan International Airport.
