Salyan district shut down for undivided Rapti Zone

DANG, Aug 10: Locals have shut down Salyan district demanding to include the district in Rapti Zone on Monday.

Salyan has been placed in the province No. 6 in the new federal structure of the country. According to the District Police Office, Salyan, vehicular movement and market places have been hit due to the band since early this morning.


Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Salyan Chapter, Salyan-Rukum Transportation Committee, UCPN (Maoist), cadres of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have jointly organized the district band calling for an undivided Rapti Zone.
