KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Nepal has lost to India in the semi-final of the SAFF U-19 Championship football tournament.
In the match held on Wednesday at Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor, Nepal lost to India in a tiebreaker by 2-3.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw in the regulation and added time, thereby leading to the penalty shootout. In the tiebreaker, Nepal's Prashant Laxam Limbu, Laxman Thapa and Bikram Tamang failed to score while Ashwin Ghorasini and Kushal Deuba scored.

Similarly, for India, two players missed while three scored.
Earlier, India took the first lead after scoring in the 26th minute of the game. Sahil Khursheed scored for India.
However, in the 74th minute of the match, Samir Tamang scored a goal on behalf of the hosts to bring the game to 1-1 tie.
Following the win, India will play against Pakistan in the final match to be held this Saturday.
