KATHMANDU, June 30: Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Maha Prasad Adhikari has said that the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war after the COVID-19 pandemic has added challenges to the country's economy.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected working committee of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Nepal on Wednesday, Governor Adhikari said that the global impact of the Russia-Ukraine war after the COVID-19 pandemic has affected Nepal and added new challenges to the economy. Governor Adhikari said the crisis in the global economy had had an impact on commodity prices.
He said the world was now under pressure from inflation. He also mentioned that the time has come for all to work together to improve the country's economy. Governor Adhikari emphasized the role of chartered accountants in the monetary policy.
