Rumpum's new scheme<br/>NBL's ATM in Chitwan

KATHMANDU, July 6: Asian Thai Foods, the manufacturer of several brands of instant noodles and consumable goods, on Monday launched a new scheme -- Rumpum ma gadgad, sathma nagad -- under which consumers can win a cash prize of up to Rs 100,000. [break]



“Rumpum, one of the most favored instant noodles, has come up with this scheme to take the brand-consumer relationship to a new level,” states a press release issued by the company.



Asian Thai Foods is the manufacturer of instant noodles like Rumpum, 2PM, Preety and Miteri and it also manufactures Mama and Krazy cheese balls.





NBL´s ATM in Chitwan



KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal Bank Ltd installed ATM service at its city office in Narayanghat in Chitwan on Monday. This is the first ATM outlet of the bank outside Kathmandu valley.



Issuing a press statement, the bank said ATM holders of the bank can get services through 247 ATMs and 1,400 sales points across Nepal and 1,000 ATMs in India. Mittra Lal Dawadi, president of Narayangadh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the new ATM.



He expressed confidence that the oldest bank of country would increase its competitive strength by providing new services to the customers. He also urged the bank to increase investment in major sectors such as industries, education, health, tourism and agriculture in Chitwan district.



The bank has made target to set up ATMs in 20 more places besides increasing number of the bank´s ATM holders to 100,000 within six months. Chief Manager of Narayanghat branch Nirmal Kumar Baral expressed commitment to increase more services from the bank in the coming days.





Global opens branch at Kuleshwar



KATHMANDU, July 6: Global Bank has opened a new branch in Kuleshwar, Kathmandu. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the new branch on Monday. The new branch is also equipped with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), according to a press release issued by the bank.



In a span of two and half years, the bank has opened branch offices in various places including Kantipath, New Road, Bauddha, Gyaneshwar and Kirtipur. Branches were also opened in Birgunj, Narayanghat, Butwal, Pokhara, Baglung, Lahan and Biratnagar. Similarly, 20 ATMs were also installed in this period.



The bank now plans to open new branches in Nepalgunj, Lamki of Kailali, Dadeldhura, Gaighat of Udaypur, Lagankhel and Dhapasi and Dhulabari of Jhapa, states the release. “Four more ATMs will also be brought into operation in near future.”
