KATHMANDU, March 28: The ruling parties are scheduled to hold a meeting on Tuesday to finalize the power-sharing deal.
A meeting of the top leaders of the three ruling alliance parties held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on Monday agreed to summon the meeting of the parties that supported Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during the vote of confidence in parliament at 4PM on Tuesday, according to Manahari Timilsina, press expert of Prime Minister Dahal.
PM Dahal preparing to expand Cabinet
Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal were present in today's meeting.
Timsina said Tuesday’s meeting will dwell on different issues including cabinet expansion. Although it was said that the cabinet would be expanded by Monday, leaders of ruling parties said it was delayed as the parties in the ruling alliance failed to forge consensus on the ministerial portfolios.
NC, CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, among other parties, are in the ruling alliance.
