The next meeting of the party's Standing Committee has been scheduled for coming Wednesday.
Although Chairman Oli skipped the last Standing Committee meeting, taking a strong exception to a political proposal tabled earlier by the executive chairperson of the party, Dahal, he attended the meeting today.
Lama, a central committee member of the NCP and a former Nepali Ambassador to South Korea, succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Friday.
The meeting venue was shifted to Baluwatar this morning although it was earlier scheduled to take place at Dhumbarahi, the party headquarters, as chairperson Oli, who is also the prime minister, expressed his unwillingness to go there citing the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic.
