RSP suspends official for secretly recording meeting

KATHMANDU, May 22: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) suspended an official from one of its electoral constituency committees for three days after the official violated party rules.



Acting General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti confirmed the disciplinary action, saying, "We suspended the official from their position in the constituency committee for three days due to a breach of party discipline."

The party reported that a deputy coordinator secretly recorded a video on a mobile phone during a meeting with central party officials without permission.


The party has kept the identity of the official secret to protect the person's reputation.


Burlakoti added that the suspension took place on May 19.
