KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) registered a motion for attention on the nationwide spread of the cholera infection in parliament on Thursday.

RSP lawmaker Dr Toshima Karki is the proposer of the motion which was seconded by lawmakers Manish Jha and Sobita Gautam. They handed the motion to Speaker Devraj Ghimire, emphasizing the need for effective forecasting, control, and emergency response to the health crisis that may arise from the cholera epidemic.


Dr Karki stated that if immediate action is not taken to control the spread of cholera in the country, a dire situation may arise, prompting her to register the attention motion through the Speaker.
