KATHMANDU, Aug 2: One more person from Dhangadhi, Kailali, has caught cholera. With this, the number of cholera cases has reached 23.
According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) of the Ministry of Health and Population, another case of cholera has been confirmed in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-1.
Number of cholera cases reaches 36, highest in Lalitpur
According to EDCD, the number of cholera cases in Kailali alone has reached eight. Additionally, 14 cases have been reported in several areas of Lalitpur, and one case has been detected in Tokha, Kathmandu.
All infected individuals are receiving treatment, and their health conditions have improved significantly. Cholera infections spread through contamination of drinking water or food with infectious substances.
