Speaking at a press conference organized in the capital on Friday, Thapa said, “We have proposed to restore constitutional monarchy in a democratic set up, revival of Hindu state, preserving national integrity and economic liberalization in our election manifesto for the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) poll.” [break]
He further claimed that his party’s agenda of reviving the Hindu state has drawn the people´s attraction as many people are still in the favor of the monarchy and the Hindu state.
When asked about party’s preparation for the November poll, Thapa said, “We will expand party´s organizational set-up at all constituencies and even in the village-level before the first week of October. Currently, training campaigns are underway across the country.” He informed that his party is all set to hold a nine-day ‘national unity march’ across the country to be held from September 11.
“Nationwide national unity march will be ended in Kathmandu on September 19 after orgnaising various programs across the country,” Thapa said.
Likewise, the party is set to hold a six-day “door-to-door” campaign from September 28 across the country.
“We are also holding an eight-day nationwide ‘signature collection campaign’ starting from October 21. We hope majority of Nepalese would give their solidarity for the reinstatement of monarch and the Hindu state,” he added.
On a different note, he accused the major parties represented in the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) of ignoring concerns of Baidya-led CPN-Maoist.
“The four parties are imposing tyranny in the country ignoring the existence of Baidya-led Maoist, it has proved that the undemocratic behavior is deep-rooted among them,” claimed Thapa. He asserted that all-party participation is a must to hold a meaningful CA poll.
“Holding CA poll is not only the agenda of four parties, all parties should work together,” he stated.
He added that it would be a disaster if Baidya would not join the poll process. “The government will be responsible for creating instability in the country if roundtable conference is not held within a week to bring the disgruntled parties in to a confidence.”
He claimed that his agenda of reviving Hindu kingdom and the reinstatement of monarchy will help for garnering huge public support, particlulary in the Tarai-Madhes region.
