Pun took gold in the 25 m backstroke and 25 m freestyle events of U-10 age category as LA clinched the team championship title. Shuvatara School and Goldengate secured the second and third positions respectively. [break]
Pun completed the backstroke event in 23.20 seconds and freestyle in 18.98 seconds. LA swimmers also took the top three positions in freestyle while Hikmat Magar of the same team finished second in backstroke behind Sanket Nepal of Brihaspati.
Pasang Sherpa clocked 43.29 seconds in the 50 m backstroke event of 13-14 years boys´ section as LA clean swept the top three honors. Dipen Rana and Yogesh Thapa finished second and third respectively.
Celina Gurung of Kathmandu Valley secured gold in the 50 m backstroke event of 15-17 years girls´ section completing the distance in 42.22 seconds.
Laxmi Pariyar and Deewa Rana of LA secured silver and bronze respectively. Swasti Shrestha of LA took gold in the butterfly event of girls´ 15-17 years category covering the distance in 55.43 seconds. Shamine Sherchan of Shuvatara and Deewa Rana of LA took silver and bronze respectively.
Jayanta Gurung of Goldengate won the 50 m boys butterfly event in 15-17 years boys´ category clocking 32.25 seconds. He finished ahead of Shishir Thapa and Samrakshan Thapa of LA. Dipan Rana of LA, Samriddha Pradhan of Shuvatara and Sandeep Pradhan of LA secured the top three positions in the 50 m butterfly event of 13-14 years boys´ section.
Goldengate won gold and silver in men´s open 50m freestyle. Miraj Prajapati clocked 28.78 seconds to take gold while Jayanta Gurung and Sahaj Shakya of Shuvatara finished second and third respectively. In boys´ 50 m freestyle Bijay Bhujel of Tal Barahi clocked 33.01 seconds for gold while Nishcal Shrestha and Kumar Gurung of Nepal Adarsha secured second and third positions.
Nikon Purja and Sadip Thapa Magar of LA secured first and second positions in the 50 m freestyle of 11-12 years boys´ category. Ashwini Agrawal of Shuvatara finished third. Yogesh Thapa of LA claimed gold in 50 m freestyle of boys´ 13-14 years age group. Aditya Chaudhary and Sangit Khadka of Shuvatara took silver and bronze.
The 50 m freestyle gold in boys´ 15-17 years age group went to Sanjeet Chaudhary of LA while Sahaj Shakya of Shuvatara came in second and Robi Gurung of LA finished third.
LA won the 50x4 m freestyle open boys´ relay while Nepal Adarsha and Shuvatata took silver and bronze. LA also won the relay event in the girls´ section. Shuvatara and Nepal Adarsha secured second and third positions.
