Road Upgrade to Rasuwagadhi commences

RASUWA, June 22: Upgrade of road connecting to Rasuwagadhi has begun. As the roads has degraded and the area is prone to accident, construction has begun. Division Road Office, Nuwakot has divided the work into two blocks that are Betrawati to Kalikasthan and Shyaubari to Dhunche. 

According to Division Chief Niraj Shakya, as the pipe culvert has to be repaired; only motorcycles and small vehicles are allowed to operate. 

Similarly, gravel work has been started Syaubari to Dhunche road. The office had earlier too worked on filling the potholes, repairing the canals, black-topping the road and expansion of road in different areas. Shakya said that the road construction process will be taken rapidly to complete the work till mid-July. 

The concrete has been done in different areas of Betrawati- Dhunche block. In the last fiscal year, as the expenditure could not be done on time, the budget was freezed. Similarly, plan has been made on how regular transportation can be operated during the rainy season. 

The transportation has been operated regularly during the monsoon season from last four years. The road is coming in operation In collaboration with District Administration Office and with the assistance of hydropower plants in Rasuwa. 

As the division office is in Nuwakot and there are no employees in the unit the work is not going effectively. According to the locals, though the road construction work is going on every year, they face the same problems as before.
