RASUWA, May 10: Preparations for the Gosaikunda Helambu Marathon, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, have been completed, said organizer. The organizer Helambu Trail Running Club said that the preparations of the tournament have been completed and that the club is ready to host it.
RASUWA, April 15: Poverty alleviation programs in Rasuwa have benefitted more than 18,000 people when the actual number of poor people in the district is less than 14,000. People who do not fall below the poverty line have been found taking advantage of the five programs run by the Poverty Alleviation Fund.

RASUWA, Aug 19: Delay in repair of a flood-damaged bridge in Rasuwa has cut off the country’s linkage with China’s Tibet, halting bilateral trade for the past three weeks. Over 200 containers carrying Chinese goods are stuck in Kerung during this period.
Gosainkunda is a popular travel destination of Nepal. Especially during Janai Purnima, a large influx of devotees visit the region. About 7,000 visitors arrived in the region to observe the festivities last year. The number is expected to double this year.

RASUWA, July 27: Before they could fully recover from the devastation caused by the 2015 earthquakes, yet another disaster has befallen the locals of Timure in Rasuwa district. On Wednesday night, landslides triggered by incessant rainfalls claimed nine lives in Timure of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2, near the Nepal-China border.

RASUWA, July 15: Massive landslides in Yabru village of Naukunda Rural Municipality wreaked havoc in the settlements last year. The landslides had rendered the land unsafe for settlement. Though the residents of the village lived in temporary shelters for some days, they returned and started living there after some weeks. They were aware of the looming threat of landslides, but returned stating that they did not find any place to relocate.

RASUWA, Feb 13: As per the 'Literate Nepal' mission launched in 2012, the government has now declared 43 districts of the country as literate zones in terms of adult literacy. Among those districts, the latest addition is Rasuwa, which was declared as literate zone on Monday.
