KATHMANDU, May 18: Police have confirmed that the gold-like substance seized in Rasuwa on Sunday afternoon is indeed gold. Authorities recovered 7 kilograms and 653 grams of gold while it was being transported from Kerung to Kathmandu.

A police team intercepted a vehicle (Ba 4 Kha 6201) carrying the gold at around 1:30 PM and seized the precious yellow metal hidden among goods. They have taken the driver into custody for further investigation.
