Separate road accidents in Morang and Sunsari claim four lives

ITAHARI. Jan 26: Four people died in separate road accidents in Morang and Sunsari. 


A scooter with the registration number Ko 38 P 5387  and a motorcycle with the registration number Province 1-04-001 B 0007 collided head on in an accident in the Dhat area of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3 on Wednesday. Motorcyclist Prem Bahadur  Shrestha, 55,  who was injured in the accident, has died.

According to the Traffic Police Office, Itahari, Shrestha died while undergoing treatment at Birat Medical College.


In a separate road accident, one Shyam Bahadur, 22 of Sundar Haraicha Municipality-7, who was injured after falling off a tractor (Ko 2 Ta 7937) in the inner road section of Sundararaincha Municipality-7 on Wednesday passed away while undergoing treatment at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar.


Similarly, a cyclist was taken to the hospital for treatment after he got stuck while traveling from south to north on the internal road section of Muderi of Budhi Ganga, in Morang on Wednesday. According to traffic police, Devkumar Urao, 48, fell unconscious while cycling. He was sent to Birat Medical Teaching Hospital for treatment, but passed away while undergoing treatment.


Another person was killed when a pick-up truck with the registration number Province1-04-001 Cha 0198 hit a cyclist on Koshi Highway in Itahari Municipality-12 in Sunsari. Anand Chaudhary, 60, of Gadi Rural Municipality in Sunsari died in the accident. Chaudhary died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
