The party has claimed that federalism is against the national integrity, as it would split the nation by inviting ethnical and regional conflict in the country.
Normal life in all 15 districts including Bardiya in Bheri and Karnali remained crippled today due to the shutdown. Transportation service, academic institutions, factories and markets have adversely been affected.
The party called the Bheri Karnali banda today as final part of its third-phase agitation against federalism. The party has been launching the phase-wise agitation since September 15 putting forth a 27-point demand including scrap of the decision of federalism, return of the land encroached by the Indian side and end of excessiveness over journalists.
The banda enforcers also took out torch rallies and burnt tires in different places of the banda-called zones.
