BHARATPUR, Feb 26: A rhino was found dead in the Chitwan National Park (CNP) on Sunday.
The rhino, believed to be around 12 years old, was found dead inside the Belsar Buffer Zone Community Forest at Jarnelighat on the bank of Rapti river of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-13, Chitwan.
Information Officer of the Chitwan National Park, Ganesh Prasad Adhikari, said that rhino horn and hooves are safe.
CNP officials have assumed that the rhino could have died in a fight with another rhino.
