Responsibility on UCPN (M) to safeguard achievements: Dahal

DAMAK, Nov 6: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that responsibility to protect the rights of people has come on the shoulders of the UCPN (Maoist).



Dahal said that the responsibility has now come on the shoulders of his party as the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress did not carry out works in favor of change and invited evils and anomalies in Nepali politics.[break]



He said that issues of secularism and identity was received from sacrifice of the UCPN (M) and added that  his party´s majority in the election was necessary to institutionalize the achievements.



Dahal stressed that the upcoming elections to the Constituent Assembly (CA) was an opportunity and challenge to incorporate the rights in the new constitution.



At an assembly organized at Ganatantra Chowk in Damak under the ´Mechi-Mahakali National Awareness Campaign´ started from Wednesday, he said the Nepali people would support the his party to establish people´s rights.



Stating that people are in favor of change, the UCPN (Maoist) chairman claimed that his party would get majority from the upcoming CA election.



Senior leaders of the party, Baburam Bhattarai and Narayankaji Shrestha, and other leaders including Barshaman Pun were also present at the program.



Similarly, singer Shambhu Rai, Chetan Sapkota, JB Tuhure, among others, presented cultural program calling for casting votes in favor of the UCPN (Maoist).
