Speaking at an international conference organized by Nepal Academy of Management (NAM) that kicked off in the capital on Sunday, Pun noted that mobilization and management of the resources would ensure investment, employment and income generation for bright future of the country.
“Development projects and institutions of the country need to be properly managed so that the country can take an economic leap forward,” he said, adding that it is essential to promote agriculture and tourism sectors for speedy development of the country. “Many youths are leaving the country due to unemployment, so we are in dire need of employment generation,” he further said.[break]
Other speakers including Professor Hira Bahadur Maharjan and Managing Director of Presidential Business School Sudhir Jha asserted that the country should focus on management studies and research.
Professors from 14 countries including Harvard University, Business Stockholm University in Sweden, University of Limerick of Ireland, Zhejiang Gongshang University in Hangzhou in China, are participating in the two-day conference. Similarly, among participants are students, researchers and entrepreneurs from 35 countries.
According to the organizer, the conference intends to provide a unique international forum to facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge information to scholars and practitioners and foster research cooperation where academicians, practitioners, research scholars, as well as doctoral or graduate students would be encouraged to participate in the conference to network and interact with fellow researchers who share a similar interests.
