Republica correspondent awarded

KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Republica correspondent Suresh Yadav, among six journalists, on Friday received National Sanitation Journalism Award-2010.



Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) and Nepal branch of Drinking Water and Sanitation Partnership Council conferred this award on Yadav for his contribution in spreading awareness about sanitation.[break]



Yadav was chosen from the central region.



Other winners include Indira Bhattarai of Gorkhapatra Daily from eastern region, Suraj Kunwar of Kantipur Daily from Kathmandu valley, Deepak Gyawali of Rajdhani Daily from western region, Thakur Singh Tharu of Naya Patrika from mid-western region and Baburam Shrestha of Annapurna Post Daily from far-western region.



Similarly, the encouragement award was given away to Anjali Ramtel of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and Manoj Shrestha of Solu FM.
