CHITWAN, May 15: CPN-UML mayoral candidate Bijay Subedi is currently 121 votes behind the candidate from the five-party ruling coalition Renu Dahal, who is also a member of the CPN (Maosit Center).
As many as 4,423 votes have been counted so far and Dahal has received 1,611 votes while Subedi has received 1,541 votes.
Similarly, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has received 537 votes. In the contest for the post of deputy mayor, NC candidate Chitrasen Adhikari is in the lead with 1,775 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Himal Gurung has received 1,242 votes.
