Regional workshop on ecosystem management

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: A four-day regional workshop is set to begin on Monday to present the tools, methodology and approaches for ecosystem management developed in the framework of the HinduKush-Karakoram-Himalayan (HKKH) Partnership Project.



According to a press release issued by IUCN Nepal, the project is implemented by IUCN in partnership with CESVI, Ev-K2-CNR and ICIMOD and is currently focused in Sagarmatha National Park and Buffer Zone (SNPBZ) Nepal, Central Karakoram National Park (CKNP), Pakistan, and Qomolangma Nature Preserve (QNP), Tibet Autonomous Region of China.



Experts and practitioners from government agencies, academia, INGOs and NGOs engaged in the management of mountain ecosystem or natural resources management from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bhutan, China, Afghanistan, Burma and Bangladesh will be participating in the workshop.
