KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Real estate transactions have increased in the month of Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) compared to the same period last Fiscal Year (FY).
A total of 43,835 units of property transfers were approved this Shrawan, compared to 39,263 units approved during the same period last year.

In the first month of the current FY, land revenue offices across the country provided 127,000 real estate-related services. Although the number decreased in Shrawan compared to Ashar, it shows a slight increase compared to the previous FY.
Significant turnover in real estate transactions has been observed in Jhapa, Morang, and Saptari districts. Revenue amounting to Rs 3.83 billion was collected between mid-July and mid-August, while Rs 2.55 billion was collected through registration.
The Department of Land Management and Archive reported that Rs 260 million was collected from service tax and Rs 1.34 billion from capital gains tax.
Revenue of Rs 2.91 billion was collected in the review month last year.
