KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Revenue collected from real estate transactions increased in the month of Mangsir (mid-November to mid-December), compared to the previous month.
In Kartik (mid-October to mid-November), revenue collected from real estate transactions amounted to Rs 2.70 billion, whereas in Mangsir, it soared to Rs 3.87 billion.

The Department of Land Management and Archive (DoLMA) reported that a total of 43,379 real estate transactions took place across the country in Mangsir. Similarly, in Kartik, 33,514 real estate transactions occurred nationwide. The DoLMA also stated that the Land Revenue Office in Lagankhel collected Rs 339.5 million.
The Kathmandu Valley has nine Land Revenue Offices. Among them, the Land Revenue Office in Kalanki collected Rs 265.73 million, the office in Chabahil collected Rs 225.82 million, the office in Sankhu collected Rs 75.02 million, the office in Manmaiju collected Rs 72.63 million, and the office in Tokha collected Rs 71.25 million in revenue. Similarly, the Land Revenue Office in Biratnagar collected Rs 104.91 million, and the Land Revenue Office in Chitwan collected Rs 359.83 million.
According to the DoLMA, in Mangsir, a total of Rs 266.25 million was collected in service fees, and Rs 2.64 billion was collected in registration fees. Additionally, capital gains tax collection amounted to Rs 1.32 billion.
