The Metropolitan Police Range had registered nineteen cases of women rape in the last fiscal year. This data was 15 in the previous two fiscal years (2069-70 and 2070-71 BS), according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Krishna Adhikari. Similarly, nine cases of attempted rape were registered in the last fiscal.
The police investigations show that most of the victims fell prey to the people who were known to their families. RSS
