The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) transferred Chand to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range (MPR), Hanumandhoka, from the Nepal Police Headquarters.[break]
The post was lying vacant following the promotion of the-then MPR chief Jaya Bahadur Chand as deputy inspector general (DIG) on December 19.
