KATHMANDU, Sept 22: An international conference on goat farming will be held in Chitwan from October 20 to 23, the organizer said on Sunday.
Rampur-based Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, which is better known as Rampur Campus, will host the conference.
At a press meet held in Kathmandu, Officiating Vice-Chancellor of the campus Sharad Thapaliya said that researchers and scholars on goat farming from Nepal, India, China, Bangladesh Pakistan, the United States, Canada, Japan, Indonesia, Cuba, France, Kenya, and Indonesia will participate in the conference.
The conference will be held under the theme "Goat Farming for Food and Nutrition Security in Developing Countries", according to the organizer.
Rampur Agriculture Campus re-opens
During the conference, experts will deliberate on various matters including existing goat farming practices and relevant policies, innovations in goat farming due to the use of advanced technologies, and among others. Asia is regarded as one of the world's richest regions in goat farming.
