KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has advised Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa to move forward without former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the NC’ 15th General Convention, Lamichhane suggested that the party’s new leadership should let go of Deuba rather than try to persuade him.
“We trust journalist Rabi Lamichhane but not Home Minister Rabi...
“It would be better to let Sher Bahadur Deuba go rather than try to persuade him. I would like to offer this suggestion,” Lamichhane said.
Respecting the NC’ long political history, he said the party should now move forward in line with the new generation and changing political circumstances.
Lamichhane said the party’s history was one of its greatest strengths and urged its leaders to learn from it while embarking on a new political journey.
