The PU Teachers´ Union, different students organizations, and the employees unions have objected to the appointment and disrupted the regular activities in protest after the retirement of incumbent Registrar. They have been demanding that the Registrar should be appointed from within the PU.
Regular administrative and academic activities of the university have been affected as the offices have remained closed for a long time.
