KATHMANDU, March 26: A proposal of referendum on Hindu state has been registered in the central committee on Nepali Congress (NC).
Central member of the party Khum Bahadur Khadka registered the proposal of the referendum on Hindu state for the discussion in the central committee on Sunday.
In a meeting of the party central committee meeting, leader Khadka expressed his dissatisfaction over the decision taken by the party to declare the country as secular state without any discussion in the party.
He urged the party central committee to discuss the issue citing that the party should not owe the decision to declare Nepal as secular state.
Khadka is lobbying for the declaration of Nepal as the Hindu state since long and is leading the mega-campaign for Hindu State Nepal.
