BARA, Nov 1: The Kalaiya District Police Office in Bara held a press conference on Wednesday to make public the details of five individuals arrested in connection with the murder of Rupesh Saraf, also known as ‘Guddu’, the principal of Bal Ekta Boarding School in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-6.

Bara Superintendent of Police, Suresh Kafle, disclosed the names of the arrested individuals, which include Radha Gupta, Chand Yadav, Abhinaf Kumar Singh, Jewel Akhtar, and Riyaj Ansari.

Kafle said that, out of the 10 people arrested thus far, those made public were the ones directly involved in Saraf's murder. He explained that the motive behind the crime was linked to an alleged extramarital relationship between Saraf and Radha Gupta, who was the lover of Manoj Gupta.

Kafle revealed that Radha Gupta had been in a relationship with Manoj Gupta, a resident of Chaudadanav, Bihar, India, for three years. Subsequently, she developed an illicit relationship with Saraf after commencing work at Bal Ekta Boarding School.

Upon discovering the relationship between Radha and Saraf, Manoj Gupta confronted Saraf, asking him to distance himself from Radha.

Kafle added that investigations unveiled attempts at reconciliation between Saraf and Gupta, mediated by the teachers at Bal Ekta Boarding School, following their disputes on two separate occasions.

However, Radha Gupta's family and her boyfriend, Manoj Gupta, compelled her to resign from her position at Bal Ekta Boarding School seven months ago. Kafle noted that Manoj became angry and eventually killed Saraf when he observed that their improper relationship persisted even after Radha's departure from the school.

Kafle further disclosed that, two months before the shooting, Manoj had attempted to harm Saraf upon witnessing him with Radha at a hotel in Simra. Even after surviving the attack, Rupesh failed to inform the police or discontinue his illicit relationship with Radha.
