KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Major political parties have decided to draw attention of the president over his remarks on the 16-point agreement.

Emerging from the meeting of Special Committee formed by Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC), General Secretary of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (Democratic) Jitendra Dev said that Prime Minister Sushil Koirala will draw the attention of President Ram Baran Yadav toward his statement about the agreement.

He was of the opinion that President Yadav ought to take into account his ceremonial position and make political remarks within this limitation.

The special committee was to submit the public feedbacks on the initial draft of the new constitution by Sunday. The next meeting of the committee is slated to take place today itself. RSS
