Prez expresses concern over impasse

KATHMANDU, July 26: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav expressed concern over the failure of the legislature to elect a new prime minister even after holding two rounds of voting.



The president expressed such concern during his meeting with Speaker Subas Nembang at on Monday afternoon. "He was concerned by the failure of the parliament to elect a new prime minister," Nembang quoted the president as saying during the 45-minute talks.



According to Nembang, the president also stated that all the political actors should work together to keep the people’s faith in democratic system intact.
