JANAKPUR, April 11: CPN-UML candidate for the by-election in Dhanusha-5 constituency, Raghubir Mahaseth, beat his rival Sri Krishna Yadav of Tarai-Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) to secure a seat in the Constituent Assembly. [break]
Mahaseth secured 13,222 votes against Yadav´s 11,281 in the consituency vacated by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, whose son (Dr Chandra Mohan Yadav) from Nepali Congress was pushed to the third position with just 6,027 votes.
