President Yadav visits Bhattarai

KATHMANDU, April 24: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today went to Norvic International Hospital at Thapathali to acquire information about the health condition and treatment of former prime minister and founding leader of the Nepali Congress.



Doctors involved in Bhattarai’s treatment briefed the president on Bhattarai’s condition.



Bhattarai is undergoing treatment in the hospital in a critical condition. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday after he suffered from several problems including high blood pressure, lack of appetite and temporary seizures of heartbeat.



He is undergoing treatment in Coronary Care Unit of the hospital and he is under oxygen support. Dr Bharat Rawat, one of the physicians looking after the octogenarian leader, said Bhattarai’s condition was not free from risks.



Dr Rawat, Dr Ramesh Chokhani and Dr Shyam Bahadur Pandey are involved in Bhattarai’s treatment.
