President worships Nawakanya
On the occasion of Bada Dashain, it is a tradition for the head of state to worship the Navakanyas as embodiments of the goddess Navadurga.
Worship is performed in the nine forms of Goddess Durga Bhagwati: Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.
On this occasion, President Paudel washed the feet of the nine girls, applied tika, and presented them with gifts.
