President Deuba has special ability to bring everyone together: Home Minister Khand

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has expressed confidence that the Prime Minister and newly-elected Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will bring everyone together in the party.

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has expressed confidence that the Prime Minister and newly-elected Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will bring everyone together in the party.


Giving a brief remark to media after the results of the President’s vote were made public in the morning, Home Minister Khand expressed confidence that the party would move forward in a smooth and strong manner in the coming days as Deuba has the special ability to bring everyone together.

Khand said that Deuba would make the Nepali Congress stronger, active, dynamic and organized. He said, "Democracy will also be strong during the tenure of (President Deuba). He will play a role in moving the country forward on the basis of political consensus and cooperation as well as successfully conducting the upcoming local body elections and general elections.


Deuba, who has been re-elected for a second term, said that all those contesting the election under the General Convention would be included in the party, activated in the party's campaign and the leaders contesting for the post of party president would be included in the Central Committee.


He expressed his commitment to rectify the situation in the coming days as there were some errors in the election management and voters also complained. Stating that the voters have to wait in line for a long time due to technical problems, he expressed confidence that the current management will be simplified in the upcoming general convention.
