President condoles former PM Thapa's demise

KATHMANDU, April 17: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said the passing away of Surya Bahadur Thapa, who was an adept and experieanced politician and had shouldered the grave responsibility of the nation remaining in the post of Prime Minister from time to time, has caused a big loss to the country which is presently passing through a transition.

"The coordinating role, clear political views, strong willpower and balanced conduct of late Thapa, who dedicated his entire life to the country's politics, would always be remembered," the President said in a condolence message issued today.


Expressing sorrow over the demise of leader Thapa, the President in the condolence message, prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and also paid tributes to the former Prime Minister.

Likewise, President Yadav extended condolences to the grief-stricken Thapa family and relatives who lost their able guardian, wishing them fortitude. RSS
