KATHMANDU, September 7: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has been briefed about the preparations for the local level election being held in Province No 2 on September 18.
A team of the officials from Election Commission, including Chief Election Officer, Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav, briefed President Bhandari that EC had strictly urged all stakeholders to implement the election code to make election free and fair.

On the occasion, President Bhandari expressed satisfaction that country was getting people's representatives after long. She further hoped that the forthcoming election- of local level in Province No 2 and of the provincial and federal parliaments would bolster democracy, respect people's aspiration and help implement Constitution.
She also thanked the EC for holding two phases of local level election successfully. RSS
