KATHMANDU, Dec 4 : All preparations for the meeting of Inter-Provincial Council going to be held from coming Sunday have been completed.
Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Laxman Prasad Mainali, said all preparations for the meeting scheduled at the OPMCM have been completed. The meeting between the federation and provinces is taking place for the first time after the country adopted the federal structure.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is the Chairperson of the Council while Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Finance Minister Dr Yub Raj Khatiwada and Chief Ministers of all seven provinces are the members. Secretary Mainali said that political dispute between federation and provinces as well as between the provinces would be resolved.
He said that all the ministers, state ministers of the federal government, the Attorney General, the Vice-chairman of National Planning Commission, Secretaries of all ministries and Secretaries of the Office of the Chief Minister would also participate in the meeting along with Council members. RSS
