KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The load-shedding hours will be reduced to two hours daily from Monday afternoon with the completion of repair works at Kali Gandaki, according to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

Sher Singh Bhat, the Director of Systems Operation Department at NEA, said, "As per our plan, the machine at Kali Gandaki has been repaired. We will go back to the old load-shedding timing of two hours a day from Monday."

NEA had imposed eight hours power cut for a week following technical problems at Kali Gandaki-I, the largest hydro project in operation in the country. The project has an installed capacity of 144 MW.
