KATHMANDU, April 11: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday said people would be empowered with rights through the local level elections slated for May 14. 

PM Dahal also urged all sides to help conclude the polls that he believed would help drive the country towards prosperity. He was speaking at 1st Chandragiri festival organised by Chandragiri Municipality. 

He also pledged to make efforts to conserve the historical site while carrying out its infrastructure development. 

Also on the occasion, the Municipality executive officer Krishna Prasad Mainali said the festival aims at preserving anciently important heritage sites and promoting local production of the area. 

The festival will run until April 19 and Newari dishes and food items produced in the locality are on display. RSS
