Addressing the condolence assembly of the UCPN-Maoist leader Dil Bahadur Shrestha at Thaiba of Lalitpur district today, Chairman Dahal said the parties are closer to reaching a political consensus to form the Chief Justice (CJ)-led election government.[break]
"We are working to forge consensus, let´s hope the political parties would forge consensus to end the existing political crisis," said UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal, adding that there was no alternative to election to resolve the existing political crisis. The UCPN-Maoist was committed for election to get fresh mandate, he said.
Former Prime Minister Dahal further said efforts were on to forge consensus in package regarding the formation of government and other issues.
Dahal said that talks would be held between the major political parties and political parties represented in the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) today to give final touch to the consensus. He added the country has headed towards election which will resolve political crises.
Stating that Shrestha was the guardian of the party, Dahal said the party would always follow his guidelines and fulfill his dreams.
Similarly, leader Amik Sherchan expressed the view that ongoing political crisis in the country would get an outlet after the formation of the CJ-led government.
Sherchan said that Shrestha was strong figure in the Communist movement of Nepal and added that the coming generation should be given the inspiration by institutionalizing his contributions.
