Police search Maoist lawmaker's residence for Kham

KATHMANDU, July 16: Police searching for UCPN (Maoist) central committee member Kali Bahadur Kham searched the rented residence of Maoist lawmaker Prem Bahadur Pulami in Lalitpur on Friday evening, according to SP Ramesh Kharel, chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu. Kham was not found.



Pulami was elected from Makawanpur-2.



A special police team had raided several suspect places in Kathmandu Valley on Friday evening in search of Kham, who is wanted by police for his involvement in robbing Chinese traders in Kathmandu a few days ago.



On Thursday, Home Minister Bhim Rawal had asked Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to help find Kham. Dahal had said the Maoist party was investigating the case and would hand him over if found guilty.
