KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Since the beginning of this fiscal year, the police have handed over 303 vehicles to their respective owners. Additionally, they have sent 48 individuals involved in theft, along with 33 stolen two-wheelers, to various police stations and precincts for further legal action.
In the fiscal year 2022/23, the traffic police recovered 499 two-wheelers, and in the fiscal year 2023/24, they recovered 417 two-wheelers, returning them to their respective owners.

Traffic police found 20 missing two-wheelers on different dates and handed them over to their respective owners on Monday.
During a program at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office (KVTPO) on Monday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Binod Ghimire personally returned 12 motorcycles and eight scooters to their owners.
Based on the complaints received at the KVTPO, traffic police conducted searches and found some vehicles with original number plates and others with fake plates. They recovered these vehicles from locations including Pepsi-Cola, Kandaghari, Pharping, Kalimati, Lainchaur, Gaushala, Dharmasthali, New Bus Park, and Bauddha.
Superintendent of Police Sanjay Bahadur Raut, spokesperson for the KVTPO, urged the public to call the traffic police hotline at 103, the Nepal Police hotline at 100, or visit the nearest police office to file a complaint if their vehicles go missing.
